Soloist, American Ballet Theatre
Cassandra Trenary began her dance training in Georgia at the Lawrenceville School of Ballet. She received additional training at the Regional Dance America conventions, Brookwood High School’s dance department, and American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive in NY where she was later invited to join the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of ABT. After attending the JKO School, Trenary went on to tour with the ABT’s studio company in 2011, joined the corps de ballet of ABT in the same year, and was promoted to soloist in 2015. Since beginning her professional career, Cassandra has had the honor of performing a wide variety of repertoire including Soloist and Principal roles in both contemporary and full length Ballets with ABT and has performed as a guest artist in various galas and productions internationally. Cassandra is a 2011 YoungArts winner and a Presidential Scholar in the Arts Nominee. In recent years, she has been awarded a Princess Grace Honorarium for dance in 2015 and the Annenberg Fellowship for dance in 2017.
